Pitcher Park Community Foundation: ...is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Pitcher Park and educating the public about the park, the Pitcher Family and the agricultural history of the city of Orange. Our current goal is to develop and offer tours with a third grade curriculum which teaches children about the history of their community."

Pitcher Park Community Foundation annual Persimmon Party, is always held the second Sunday before Thanksgiving to allow enough time for persimmon purchases to be transformed into a miriad of marvels to grace thanksgiving dinner tables.
